Rangers hope to complete the signings of Eduardo Herrera, Carlos Pena and Alfredo Morelos prior to the June 19 UEFA registration deadline for the Europa League qualifiers.
The work permit process has nearly been completed for Herrera and Pena, with Morelos set to begin the process this week. Now Rangers hope all three will be able to take their place in the squad ahead of Monday's deadline.
There are not believed to be any issues with the granting of the permits but the application process and the issuance of visas can still take some time, with players having to leave the country and then re-enter on those visas.
Should Morelos face any delay due to starting the process later, then a wild card can still be registered ahead of June 28 but Rangers may wish to have this available for another potential addition to the squad.
The completion of the deals for the three players in question would see Rangers having added nine players ahead of their return to European competition. Several players are now likely to exit in the coming weeks once the English transfer merry-go-round gets fully underway - with several fringe players the targets of English clubs.
